MLGW’S 2025 POSTER ART CONTEST GUIDELINES

for Kindergarten – Senior High Students

Power League Superhero “Windy!”

Poster Art Contest for Kindergarten – Senior High Students

2025 Artwork Entry and Release Form

2024 Winners!
----------------------------------------

The theme of MLGW’s 2025 Poster Art Contest is wind power and the challenge for students is to design the newest MLGW Power League Superhero, “Windy.”

Power League Superhero Windy’s mission is to encourage students to learn about wind power, and the usefulness of this sustainable, renewable and plentiful commodity in our lives.

The contest is designed to tap into students’ imaginations in creating a visual image of Power League Superhero character “Windy,” while conveying knowledge that students and parents can learn about wind power. The students’ work should include their own original, visual version of Power League Superhero character “Windy.”

All students enrolled in grades K-12 attending ANY school within Shelby County or being home-schooled within Shelby County are eligible to enter the contest.

GENERAL RULES:

· The students’ artwork must include an original, graphical version of Power League Superhero character “Windy,” and a message related to wind power.

· The submission MUST include the MLGW logo.

· The submission MUST measure 11” X 17” including at least ¼ inch margin all around and must be vertical (not horizontal). Otherwise, the work will NOT be eligible as an entry for the contest.

· The students’ artwork in physical form must be mounted on a sturdy mat board, foam board, cardboard or poster board that is suitable for display.

· Computer-generated artwork IS acceptable. Use of copyrighted material automatically disqualifies the entry.

· Framed or laminated entries are NOT accepted.

· For physical entries, the completed “2025 Artwork Entry and Release Form” form must be securely attached to the back of the artwork with tape along all sides.

· Digital entries can be uploaded at www.mlgw.com/ArtReleaseForm.

· All participants must complete and provide the official “2025 Artwork Entry and Release Form.”
