Ursula Madden is MLGW's Vice President of Corporate Communications. Prior to joining the MLGW team, she was the external affairs director for BlueOval SK, a new electric vehicle battery company. She also served as the first chief communications officer for the City of Memphis, appointed by Mayor Jim Strickland. Ursula is an Emmy award winning journalist and was the main anchor and reporter at WMC channel 5, the NBC affiliate in Memphis.
Over the years, Ursula has served as a past board member for United Way Mid-South, Church Health, St. Mary’s Episcopal School, and represented Mayor Strickland on the Memphis Brand Initiative board. She has volunteered at organizations such as Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association’s meals on wheels program and served as a mentor for two young ladies through Streets Ministries.
Ursula has been married to her husband Willliam for more than 25 years. They have a beautiful daughter, Laurel, who is college bound this fall.
