That's why Memphis Light, Gas and Water established the Outage Hotline, (901) 544-6500, which is open 24-hours per day and is dedicated solely to addressing outage situations. If you are experiencing an electric outage at home but still have online access through your cell phone or office, you can monitor current outage information by visiting MLGW's Outage Map.
Also, if you have an iPhone/iPod/iPad, MLGW has created an application that allows customers to access a variety of utility related information, including outage status and a new mobile-friendly outage map. The app is available for free download in the Apple iTunes app store at www.apple.com or through iPhone, iPod or iPad devices. One of the app's most useful features is the ability for customers to be able to check the status of an outage at their address.
Customers will need the phone number associated with their MLGW account and the last four numbers of their Social Security number OR their 16-digit account number. Other accessible information in the MLGW iPhone app include:

- Payment locations
- Bill due date and amount
- Energy tips
