Job Title: Lineman
Duties: Perform skilled work in the construction and maintenance of electric cable and powerline systems, and adhere to strict safety regulations.

Must have successfully completed approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. Must successfully complete placement/performance exercises. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License from state of residence.

Exposed to weather, traffic conditions and high voltage; subject to storm or emergency work and the normal hazards of construction work and physical activities such as climbing, walking, standing, bending, stooping, heavy lifting/pulling/pushing.

Job Title: Computer Software Specialist III - Technical Support (Redhat Linux Systems Administrator)

Duties: Apply advanced-level business and information technology system practices and/or project management methodology in analyzing information requirements to determine hardware/software solutions; develop project plans; and implement, develop or maintain enterprise information systems to meet project deliverables.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology or Information Systems courses. Must have at least six years of experience and meet proficiency requirements. Must have at least one year of demonstrated experience as the primary support person for a particular system or application and at least demonstrated knowledge and skills in one or more of the fields listed below. Experience and knowledge requirements will vary according to area and departmental needs.

Systems Programming: Linux, Unix, Apache Server, Windows Server, Active Directory Services, Server Virtualization, VMWARE

Networking: Security Systems, Storage Area Networks, Enterprise Backup Systems, Infrastructure Routing and Switching

Job Title: Water Treatment Operator II

Duties: Inspect/service remote controlled pumping stations; record meter readings; replace chlorine, fluoride and phosphate and adjust chemical dosage as needed; operate pumping stations manually when needed; receive/unload chemicals; extract data from the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to create reports; and service Backwash Monitoring Stations.

Must have successfully completed Placement (Group 03A “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises and Physical Abilities Test, Level IV (Gen IV). Must have Tennessee Grade IV Water Treatment Operator’s License. Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job. Must successfully complete Hazardous Waste Operator training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside/outside pumping stations under fairly good conditions most of the time, but must walk water pumping station grounds to collect data and inspect machinery/equipment. Subject to hazards of noise, operating machines, corrosive and poisonous chemicals, pipes under pressure, low voltage shock, walking, climbing stairs, medium lifting, distinguishing colors related to various tests, and weather conditions.

Job Title: Safety Training Specialist Gas

Duties: Organize, prepare and conduct safety and field training programs involving demonstrations of skills required in specific trades and lectures on theory, practices, methods, processes, safety and terminology; and coordinate all operator qualification (OQ) administrative functions.

Associate degree and 4 years of experience as Combination Welder, Gas Fitter, Customer Service Technician 3 or Crew Leader experience in joint trench work, plastic fusion, gas pipeline construction, and high/low pressure gas systems, gas meter repair, gas measurements and pressure regulations or a combination of experience depending on area need; or 8 years of experience as listed above without the Associate Degree. Must successfully complete Supervisor Assessment Center. Must be qualified in Operator Qualification covered tasks for gas operations and construction. Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid Tennessee Commercial driver’s license (CDL), based on area need. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside. Required to work varying time schedules. Subject to standing for long periods of time while instructing classes and making field inspection, hazards associated with operating machinery, welding burns, climbing equipment such as cranes/aerial towers and exhaust fumes, and medium lifting of manuals/books and training equipment/materials. Subject to 24 hour call.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Must have two to four years of engineering experience. Must successfully complete NIMS training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in office and outside under fairly good conditions. Subject to occasionally working in proximity of construction, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, medium lifting and walking/standing for long periods of time while making field inspections.

Must successfully complete Placement (Group 004 “Electronics Technicians”)/Performance Exercises. Must complete NIMS training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid driver’s license form state of residence.

Works inside/outside under varying conditions. Subject to hazards of falling, working in the proximity of high voltage equipment, gas and electricity, traffic, heavy lifting, climbing poles, ladders and ramps and chemical and chemical fumes. May work from a bucket truck.
