Job Title: Legal Clerk

Duties: To perform various confidential clerical duties both in preparation of trial and in general office duties for Legal staff.  Calculate funding and check requests for payments of bills; maintain accounts, records and files; compose/type letters, resolutions and pleadings; compile and verify data for various reports; maintain court calendars; post updated information on lawsuits; arrange exhibits for court; and proof all legal documents.
    
High school diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.).  Must have 4 to 6 years of legal clerical/secretarial experience.  Must pass Division typing test of 45 w.p.m.  Must have knowledge of legal terminology and judicial system.  Must have demonstrated skills in word processing and legal software applications.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Job Title: Attorney III

Duties:  Perform senior level legal assistance to the Vice President & General Counsel in providing legal services for MLGW Division; defend/prosecute lawsuits; draft/evaluate contracts: compliance issues; and supervise, direct and train assigned employees.

Juris Doctorate degree with 4 to 6 years comparable experience in the practice of corporate law.  Must successfully complete the Supervisor Assessment Center.  Must have passed the State of Tennessee Bar Examination.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside.  Subject to hazards of investigative work and stress associated with heavy caseloads, interaction with people, sometimes in an adversarial climate, and changing/unpredictable events.

Job Title: Maintenance Machinest

Duties: Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and manufacture or repair various metal items.


Drug screening, with negative test results, is required prior to entry into this classification.  Must have successfully completed approved Maintenance Machinist Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03A “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises.

Works inside and outside.  Subject to balancing, climbing/falling from ladders/high structures, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching and standing for long periods of time while working on equipment, cuts/burns working with industrial machinery and heavy lifting.

Job Title: Information Compliance Analyst III

Duties: Apply senior level of expertise to develop, interpret, analyze, organize, and assess processes and procedures associated with compliance to North American Electric reliability Corporation (NERC) reliability standards and federal and state regulations as they relate to the integrity of the MLGW information technology and systems security requirements; coordinate systems model date exchange with external agencies; and serve as liaison between MLGW and external agencies for audits on compliance of MLGW processes and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree with 12 hours of college accredited programming/computer related courses, with 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Network or Systems Security, NERC-CIP Compliance, Information Technology Compliance/Auditing, or Cyber Security Administration.    Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Job Title: Supervisor, Assessment and Development

Duties:  Train, direct and supervise assessment/development and performance management functions such as organizing, coordinating and administering the Division’s Assessment Center; selection/promotional testing for bargaining unit jobs; employee educational assistance program; performance management; coordinating/facilitating strategic planning processes/intervention; and related career development/adult educational activities.  

Master’s degree in Behavioral Science, Education or  related area.  Must have a minimum of four (4) years  experience in the development/implementation of evaluation/testing programs and/or process management.   Must successfully complete Supervisor Assessment Center.   Must successfully complete Lopez Assessment Certification.  Must have knowledge of curriculum design/development, adult learning theory, evaluation/testing methodology, instruction and training strategies/methodology, and organizational behavior  theories/approaches to intervention.  Must successfully
 complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside under good conditions.  Subject to standing for long periods of time while instructing classes/making  presentations and light lifting of training materials/equipment.

Duties: Install/maintain plumbing and plumbing fixtures including heating, water and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes; and perform other duties as directed.  

Must have an approved Journeyman Plumber license or Master Plumber license.  Must have knowledge/skills in insulation, plumbing and pipe fitting.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.  Must have successfully completed Physical Abilities Test (CGSIII).   Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03A “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises.

 Works inside and outside under varying conditions.   Subject to hazards of chemicals and working in proximity of steam boilers, electric equipment, operating machinery, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, standing, walking, reading, pushing, pulling, grasping and heavy lifting/carrying tools and equipment in the performance of job duties.
