Job Title: Lineman
Duties: Perform skilled work in the construction and maintenance of electric cable and powerline systems, and adhere to strict safety regulations.

Must have successfully completed approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. Must successfully complete placement/performance exercises. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License from state of residence.

Exposed to weather, traffic conditions and high voltage; subject to storm or emergency work and the normal hazards of construction work and physical activities such as climbing, walking, standing, bending, stooping, heavy lifting/pulling/pushing.

Job Title: Human Resources Representative 2

Duties:  Apply intermediate professional level work to research, interview and investigate various complaints, claims, charges, job placements and inquiries concerning human resources issues; review, develop, administer and communicate programs; prepare and analyze statistical data for internal/external reporting; maintain a computerized tracking system; establish/maintain contact with outside agencies for informational purposes; prepare summaries, articles, publications, reports and other pertinent documents; work on projects; and train/inform employees in human resources policies/practices, and fair employment laws.

Job Title: Energy Engineer 2 (Gas Buyer)

Duties: Apply intermediate level engineering principles to provide technical and engineering assistance to MLGW’s largest customers, and other internal/external entities regarding energy supply issues; and evaluate the economic impact of implemented recommendations.

Job Title: Water Quality Control Analyst

Duties: Perform intricate chemical, physical, bacteriological and other analyses using state of the art instrumentation to determine drinking water quality in accordance with the federal, state and local authorities rules, regulations and standards.
  
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with 4 years of experience in the use of analytical instrumentations including atomic absorption and gas chromatography.  Must be certified in chemical and microbiological analyses to comply with Section 1401 of the Safe Drinking Water Act, Public Law 93-523.  Must obtain a Grade IV Water Treatment Plant Operator’s license within 36 months of entering job.  Must have completed Hazardous Waste Materials Training (29 CFR 1910.120).    Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one (1) year of entering job.  Must pass the Color Blind 1 Test. Must have skills in computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works majority of the time inside under good conditions.  Subject to hazards of working with chemicals, standing for long periods of time during testing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, pulling and medium lifting of supplies during field analysis.

Duties:  Apply advanced-level business and information technology system practices and/or project management methodology in analyzing information requirements to determine hardware/ software solutions; develop project plans; and implement, develop or maintain enterprise information systems to meet project deliverables.
                                 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology or Information Systems courses.  Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience as the primary support person for a particular system or application and at lease demonstrated knowledge and skills in one (1) or more of the following fields listed below.  Systems Programming: LINUX, Appworx Desktop Support: Windows Desktop operating system, Group Wise, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, TOAD, Linux.  Database: Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, database scripting languages, Oracle Applications Database Administration, Oracle middleware, database-oriented middleware, job scheduling and workflow management systems.   Application Programming: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Developer 2000, Oracle Forms, Oracle applications R12 or higher, Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Reports or other current programming languages.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Job Title: Mechanic

Duties:  Perform mechanical maintenance/repair work on Division vehicles and heavy equipment in shop and/or field.

Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related degree; OR successfully completed Mechanic Apprenticeship program; OR have four (4) current ASE/FPS certifications; OR four (4) years experience in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles, or medium duty trucks or heavy equipment. ASE certifications A1-Engine Repair, or T1-Gasoline Engines, or T2-Diesel Engines and A6-Electrical/Electronics Systems or T6-Electrical/Electronic Systems are required, and based on departmental needs the two (2) remaining certifications will be determined from an approved ASE/FPS list.  The approved ASE/FPS list includes: A1-A8; T1-T6, T8; F1; L1; and/or FPS certifications which include Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician and/or Application/Electronics Specialist. Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver’s license from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03C “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises.  Must pass Color Blind I Test.  Must be able to differentiate sounds when making adjustments.

Works inside and outside.  Subject to hazards of operating machinery and irritation from oils, solvents, chemicals and fumes.  Make service calls in the field.  Performs heavy lifting.  Subject to climbing, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in uncomfortable positions.
