Job Title: Lineman
Duties: Perform skilled work in the construction and maintenance of electric cable and powerline systems, and adhere to strict safety regulations.

Must have successfully completed approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. Must successfully complete placement/performance exercises. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License from state of residence.

Exposed to weather, traffic conditions and high voltage; subject to storm or emergency work and the normal hazards of construction work and physical activities such as climbing, walking, standing, bending, stooping, heavy lifting/pulling/pushing.

Job Title: Computer Software Specialist 4

Duties: Apply advanced-level principles/concepts in the analysis of information system requirements to determine software that will provide system capabilities required; extremely accountable for end results.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Technology or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited programing in computer-related courses. Must have at least seven (7) years of experience and meet proficiency requirements. Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience and be proficient in one of the following major Data Base Management/Operating/Utilities/Screen Generators/programming and/or Data Communication Systems depending on expertise required. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

System Engineer/Administrator: Storage Area Networks, Server Virtualization

Database: Oracle, PL/SQL, database scripting languages, Oracle Applications Database Administration, Oracle middleware, database-oriented middleware, job scheduling and workflow management systems

Applications Programming: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Applications R12 or higher, Oracle Discoverer, data modeling, data extraction

Duties: Apply entry level functions to implement, develop and/or maintain new systems to meet information system requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology or Information Systems courses. Educational requirements may vary depending on departmental need for database, computer hardware/software, mainframe, networking, or programming. Must have knowledge and skills in one (1) or more of the fields listed below. Experience and knowledge requirements will vary according to area and departmental needs. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

System Engineer/Administrator: Windows Server, Server Virtualization, Linux

Networking: Virtual Private Networks, Network Infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, gateways, etc.) Wireless Networking, Network Protocols, LAN/WAN Connectivity, Cisco Networking, Network Security Systems, DNS/DHCP, Virtual Networks or Network Design

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Mechanic

Duties: Repair, maintain and/or install electric motors, generators and control equipment. 

Must have successfully completed Motor and Machine Repair Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training.  Must successfully complete Color Blind 1 Test.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 002 “Electricians”)/ Performance Exercises and Physical Abilities Test (CGS III).  Must have successfully completed NIMS Training within 1 year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence. 

Works inside and outside.  Subject to the hazards of electrical shock, falls, climbing ladders, heavy lifting, working with rotary tools and in the proximity of machinery and equipment.

Job Title: Maintenance Machinist

Duties: Repair and maintain mechanical equipment and manufacture or repair various metal items.

Drug screening, with negative test results, is required prior to entry into this classification.  Must have successfully completed approved Maintenance Machinist Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03A “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises.  Must have valid driver’s license from state of residence.  

Works inside and outside.  Subject to balancing, climbing/falling from ladders/high structures, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, reaching and standing for long periods of time while working on equipment, cuts/burns working with industrial machinery and heavy lifting.

Job Title: Electronics Instrument Technician

Duties: Maintain, test and repair various electrical/electronic testing equipment; perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, optical, chemical and physical testing; design/fabricate test equipment for research and development.

Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering Technology or four (4) years experience in the installation, maintenance, testing and repairing of various electrical and electronic test equipment.  Must successfully complete Color Blind I Test.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 004 “Electronics Technicians”)/ Performance Exercises.

Works in shop majority of time under good conditions.  Subject to hazards of medium lifting, high voltage testing, chemicals, climbing ladders, working in uncomfortable positions and standing for extended periods.  Occasionally works in proximity of electrical equipment in substations and walk-in/underground vaults.
