Job Title: Electronics Technician

Duties: Perform installation, tests, maintenance/repair of various types of relays and electronic equipment/electrical instruments to transmission and distribution systems.

Associate degree in Electrical, Telecommunication or Electronic Engineering Technology.  Must successfully complete Color Blind I Test.  Must successfully complete Placement/Performance Exercises.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.    

Works inside/outside under varying conditions.  Subject to hazards of falling, working in the proximity of high voltage equipment, gas and electricity, traffic, heavy lifting, climbing poles, ladders and ramps and chemical and chemical fumes.  May work from a bucket truck.

Job Title: Water Treatment Operator II

Duties: Inspect/service remote controlled pumping stations; record meter readings; replace chlorine, fluoride and phosphate and adjust chemical dosage as needed; operate pumping stations manually when needed; receive/unload chemicals; extract data from the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to create reports; and service Backwash Monitoring Stations.  
                                 
Must have successfully completed Placement/Performance Exercises and Physical Abilities Test, Level IV.  Must have Tennessee Grade IV Water Treatment Operator’s License.  Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one (1) year of entering job.  Must successfully complete Hazardous Waste Operator training within one year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside/outside pumping stations under fairly good conditions most of the time, but must walk water pumping station grounds to collect data and inspect machinery/equipment.  Subject to hazards of noise, operating machines, corrosive and poisonous chemicals, pipes under pressure, low voltage shock, walking, climbing stairs, medium lifting, distinguishing colors related to various tests, and weather conditions.

Job Title: Computer Software Specialist III

Duties:  Apply advanced-level business and information technology system practices and/or project management methodology in analyzing information requirements to determine hardware/ software solutions; develop project plans; and implement, develop or maintain enterprise information systems to meet project deliverables.     
                                 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Systems or Math with a concentration in Computer Science or Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited Information Technology or Information Systems courses plus six (6) years of equivalent experience in database, computer hardware/software, mainframe, networking, programming or system analysis skills depending on departmental need.  Must meet proficiency requirements.   Must have at least one (1) year of demonstrated experience as the primary support person for a particular system or application and at least demonstrated knowledge and skills in one (1) or more of the fields listed below.  Experience and knowledge requirements will vary according to area and departmental needs. Systems Programming: LINUX, Apache Server, Windows server, Active Directory Services, Server Virtualization, VMWARE, Citrix Server Farm, Storage Area Networks.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.  
                           
Works inside under good conditions.  Subject to sitting for long periods of time at computer terminals, eye fatigue, grasping/ reaching for technical manuals/printouts and distinguishing color, and occasional light lifting, bending, stooping/crouching to load computer equipment, paper and carry materials.

Job Title: Auditor

Duties:  Conduct intermediate professional level independent audits of departments to determine the effectiveness of financial, administrative and operational controls; the reliability of accounting and other data; and the extent of compliance with federal, state and local regulations and standards and Division polices and procedures, in accordance with Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) Standards.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or Information Systems.  Must have 2 years experience in auditing techniques and practices.  Professional certification recognized by the Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) preferred.  Must have skills in computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet packages, presentations, and audit software applications; and a working knowledge of personal computer-based operating systems.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in office majority of time under good conditions.  Subject to field audits.
