Job Title: Electronics Communications Technician

Duties:  Install, maintain, test and repair the Division’s two-way radio communication system, color video recording equipment and other diversified electronic equipment; locate electronic interference.  Operate infrared scanner to perform heat surveys of transmission/distribution/network systems and substations; locate and report equipment/components over-heating such as transformers, switches and capacitor banks; recheck completed maintenance repairs.  

Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunication Engineering Technology.  Must successfully complete Color Blind 1 Test.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 004 “Electronics Technicians”)/Performance Exercises. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.      

Works in shop and outside.  Works in proximity of electrical equipment in substations and walk-in/underground vaults.  Subject to medium lifting, climbing ladders, working with chemicals and standing for extended periods.  May work from bucket truck.

Job Title: Fabricator Welder

Duties:  Fabricate/forge/weld/repair and install metal items.
                        
Must have successfully completed approved Fabrication Welding Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.  Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver’s license from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification.  Must have Welder qualifications under the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) D1.1 -90 and D1.2-90.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03A “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises.

Works inside and outside.  Subject to climbing various structures and heights; falls from high structures; burns and hazards associated with welding, industrial machinery and working in the shop and in proximity of energized equipment; heavy lifting, climbing and standing for long periods of time.   

Works in office the majority of time.  Subject to travel to other work locations for analyses.

Job Title: Human Resources Representative II

Duties: Apply intermediate professional level work to research, interview and investigate various complaints, claims, charges, job placements and
inquiries concerning human resources issues; review, develop, administer and communicate programs; interview/select part-time and full-time employees; prepare and analyze statistical data for internal/external reporting; maintain a computerized tracking system; establish/maintain contact with outside agencies for recruitment, claims and informational purposes; prepare summaries, articles, publications, reports and other pertinent documents; work on projects; and train/inform employees in human resources policies/practices, fair employment laws, insurance/pension benefits.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, with 2-4 years professional-level experience in employee selection/recruitment.  Must successfully complete Lopez Assessment Certification within 90 day period. A professional accreditation as a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) preferred.  Must have computer software skills in word processing, presentation and spreadsheets.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Duties:  Investigate, settle and/or gather information to settle all claims for/against the Division; and assist in other departmental work. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area; OR two year Associate Degree with 4 years of professional level experience in claim adjusting with property damage and personal injury experience; OR 8 years of professional level experience in claim adjusting with property damage and personal injury experience.  Should have course in Business Law.  Must successfully complete NIMS training within one year of entering job.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside under all conditions.  Subject to hazards of
investigative work.  Subject to 24 hour call.

Job Title: Offset Press Operator

Duties: Set-up, adjust and operate offset presses, graphics art process camera, copier and inserter machines; receive, prepare for copying e-mailed documents, utility bills and other documents utilizing high speed computerized copiers; prepare layouts and operate various auxiliary machines.

Must have knowledge of precision measurement.  Must successfully complete Color Blind II Test.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 009 “Instrument Mechanics I”)/ Performance Exercises.  Must have knowledge/skills in Offset Press Operations.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in Print Shop.  Subject to hazards of machine operation, noise, paper dust and chemicals.  Performs physical activities such as heavy lifting/carrying, climbing, reaching, standing for extended periods, bending and stooping.  Shift work required.
