Job Title: Lineman
Duties: Perform skilled work in the construction and maintenance of electric cable and powerline systems, and adhere to strict safety regulations.

Must have successfully completed approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training. Must successfully complete placement/performance exercises. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License from state of residence.

Exposed to weather, traffic conditions and high voltage; subject to storm or emergency work and the normal hazards of construction work and physical activities such as climbing, walking, standing, bending, stooping, heavy lifting/pulling/pushing.

Job Title: Mechanic

Duties: Perform mechanical maintenance/repair work on Division vehicles and heavy equipment in shop and/or field.

Associate degree in Automotive Technology; OR successfully completed Mechanic Apprenticeship program; OR have four current ASE/FPS certifications; OR four years of experience in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles, or medium duty trucks or heavy equipment. ASE certifications A1-Engine Repair, or T1-Gasoline Engines, or T2-Diesel Engines and A6-Electrical/Electronics Systems or T6-Electrical/Electronic Systems are required, and based on departmental needs the two remaining certifications will be determined from an approved ASE/FPS list. The approved ASE/FPS list includes: A1-A8; T1-T6, T8; F1; L1; and/or FPS certifications which include Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician and/or Application/Electronics Specialist. Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver’s license from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification. Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03C “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises. Must pass Color Blind I Test. Must be able to differentiate sounds when making adjustments.

Works inside and outside. Subject to hazards of operating machinery and irritation from oils, solvents, chemicals and fumes. Make service calls in the field. Performs heavy lifting. Subject to climbing, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in uncomfortable positions.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Mechanic

Duties: Repair, maintain and/or install electric motors, generators and control equipment.

Must have successfully completed Motor and Machine Repair Apprenticeship Program or equivalent experience and training.

Must successfully complete Color Blind I Test. Must successfully complete Placement (Group 002 “Electricians”)/Performance Exercises and Physical Abilities Test (CGSIII). Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works inside and outside. Subject to the hazards of electrical shock, falls, climbing ladders, heavy lifting, working with rotary tools and in the proximity of machinery and equipment.

Job Title: General Foreman (Gas Distribution)

Duties: Train, direct and supervise management/bargaining unit employees engaged in

gas line construction/maintenance, cathodic protection and underground electric installation; and oversee work performed by contractors as required.

Drug screening, with negative test results, is required prior to entry into this classification. High School diploma or General Education Development (G.E.D.). Must have two to four years of gas construction and maintenance experience in a responsible leadership position to include gas main/service installation and maintenance, gas leak detection/repair and installation of underground electric facilities. Must successfully complete Foreman/Chief Clerk Assessment Center. Must successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works outside majority of time. Subject to hazards associated with utility construction. Subject to shift work, inclement weather and periodic stooping, bending/walking on job site for inspection purposes.

Job Title: Drafter I

Duties: Prepare detailed drawings for the construction of or revision to the gas distribution systems, street light system and/or underground transmission system; prepare one line diagrams for planning and feeder studies; and make field trips as needed.

Must have knowledge and skills in electrical–mechanical drafting and layout tasks.  Must successfully complete Placement (Group 001 Drafters”)/Performance Exercises.  Must successfully complete NIMS training within one year of entering job.  Must  have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in office majority of time.  Subject to pulling/heavy lifting of manhole covers, transformer vault gratings and electrical equipment, bending, standing, walking, climbing, stooping and other hazards associated with occasional field inspections; and sitting for long periods of time and eye fatigue while working in the office.

Job Title: Manager, Procurement and Contracts

Duties: Plan, organize, direct and control the overall operations of the purchasing and contract management areas and the supplier diversity programs; and coordinate work with other areas/departments, vendors, contractors and manufacturers.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in, but not limited to, Finance, Management, Accounting, or Marketing plus 4-6 years of demonstrated professional experience working with purchasing or contract development/management. Professional certification from National Association of Purchasing Managers (NAPM), or National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), and Master’s Degree in Business Administration preferred.   Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Job Title: Program Representative

Duties: Develop and maintain system programs to schedule, monitor and track the progress of programs and projects; prepare/update reports; compile/calculate data for statistical information; and perform clerical support functions.

High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.).  Must pass Division’s typing test of 45 w.p.m.  Must successfully complete data entry exercises, Group B.  Must have computer courses in computer applications in order to be proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and other specific applications.  Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Works in office environment and in the community.  Subject to occasionally outside computer-related work, bending/stooping/ crouching/kneeling and carrying/light lifting of computer equipment/associated supplies, sitting for long periods of time, and eye fatigue.
