Crews working to restore customers affected by Saturday morning storms

(May 1, 2016-8:30 a.m.) — MLGW crews continue to make progress in the restoration efforts from Saturday morning’s storms. Overnight, the number of remaining customers without power was reduced to about 1,200 as of 8:30 a.m.

Throughout the course of the storm, 35,500 customers were affected by outages.

Today, additional crews will be working on restoration. The hardest hit areas remain in Midtown, Whitehaven and inside the I-240 loop.
