Learn how to start a business in a pandemic

Join us for our next Power Pivot small business webinar at 4 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 27 on MLGW’s Facebook page. Hear from entrepreneurs Cheryl Pesce and Cynthia Daniels who will talk about starting a business in a pandemic and the unique challenges women face when starting a business.

Pesce owns and operates three luxury stores: Art and Architecture by Cheryl Pesce in downtown Memphis, Cheryl Pesce The Lifestyle Store in the Crosstown Concourse and the newly opened Cheryl Pesce Designer Handcrafted Jewelry and Luxury Home Goods in Laurelwood Shopping Center. She expanded to her third location in Laurelwood during the pandemic.

Daniels is the chief event strategist for Cynthia Daniels & Co. She has created seven signature events including Memphis Black Restaurant week which has brought in more than $1 million for minority-owned restaurant businesses since 2016. Daniels has been featured nationally in Black Enterprise and Essence magazines for her work on economic empowerment.
