MLGW has completed Phase I of its streetlight painting project along Front Street between Beale Street and Union Avenue.

Beginning on Monday, July 20, crews will begin Phase II by painting streetlights on Union Avenue between Front Street and Second Street.

To safely complete the work, portions of the roadway adjacent to the streetlights may be temporarily closed to accommodate painting equipment. Street parking in the work zone also may be affected.

The work will occur in two phases:

· Week of July 20: Streetlights on the south side (eastbound lanes) of Union Avenue.

· Week of July 27: Streetlights on the north side (westbound lanes) of Union Avenue.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the area, follow posted traffic signage and allow additional travel time while crews are working
