Memphis Light, Gas and Water meter readers will read residential meters in East Memphis on Saturday, April 18. The work area is bound by Sam Cooper Boulevard to the north, White Station Road on the east, Park Avenue to the south and Highland Street to the west.

Meter readings are typically done on weekdays, but occasional Saturday readings help prevent extended billing cycles.

To ensure accurate reading and avoid estimated bills, please make sure MLGW meter readers have clear access to your meters. If your meter is behind a locked gate, ensure it is unlocked and please secure any pets during this time.

Authorized meter readers will always carry MLGW badges to identify themselves as utility employees
