Memphis Light, Gas and Water, Southwest Tennessee Community College and Memphis-Shelby County Schools celebrated the accomplishments of the 2025 Summer Experience participants during a formal graduation ceremony at the SWTCC campus today.
The event recognized 60 eleventh and twelfth grade students from the Utility Bootcamp, Automotive Bootcamp and the MLGW Customer Service Career Academy who completed summer workforce development programs.
The MLGW Summer Experience is designed to introduce young people to promising career pathways in the utility industry. The graduation marks the culmination of hands-on training, mentorship, and career development programming, reinforcing MLGW’s commitment to investing in Memphis’ future workforce.
Memphis Light, Gas and Water is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving the residents of Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee since 1939.
