What: Phase A1 of the $42 million LED streetlight conversion project is underway. This is an opportunity to see the lights installed in this area and learn about the deployment plan and timeline. Nearly 77,000 streetlights in Memphis will be converted to LED by the end of the year. Workers are replacing high-pressure sodium lights first installed in the late 1950s.

When: Monday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m.

Where: Memphis Fire Station # 37 at 3950 Weaver Rd.

Who: Mayor Jim Strickland, MLGW Board Chairman Leon Dickson Sr., City of Memphis City Council members and MLGW Board of Commissioners will be in attendance.
