Sections of Gill Road and South Third Street will be closed for safety reasons related to the Weaver-Gill Pipeline Project, starting Tuesday, April 22, through Thursday, May 22.
Starting at 8 a.m. on April 22, Gill Road will be closed – north of E. Biscayne down to the entrance of Christ Community Church that is north of Mitchell Road. The closed road will have heavy construction activity, materials and equipment, prohibiting public traffic and pedestrians in that area until May 22.
Also, at the same time on April 22, a portion of the sidewalk on the east side of S. Third Street will close. This sidewalk closure extends from approximately 250 feet north of East Mitchell Road (on the east side of the intersection with S. Third Street) to the sidewalk in front of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, 3590 S. Third Street. Pedestrian sidewalk traffic will be prohibited until May 22.
