MLGW crews working to assess damage, restore power after last night’s storms
April 1, 2023
Damaging winds moved through Memphis and Shelby County, knocking out power to more than 34,000 Memphis Light, Gas and Water customers.  MLGW is currently working to assess damages and restore power.

A transmission tower and lines were severely damaged in the Airport area. In addition, there are downed power poles across the service area, especially within the I-240 corridor.

There was no impact to water or gas infrastructure.

MLGW will continue working as quickly and safely as possible until service is restored to all customers impacted.

To receive current updates on storms and outages, please sign up for text alerts at mlgw.com/alerts. Customers can report outages and get updates on restoration efforts by using MLGW My Account.
