(June 25, 2023, 8 p.m.) – Severe storms, with wind gusts of up to 75 mph, moved through the area causing outages that affected nearly 120,000 customers. MLGW crews will begin damage assessment and identifying immediate actions to restore as many customers as quickly as possible. In addition to our crews, we have requested additional help from contract crews and expect them to arrive on Monday.

This same system has knocked out power to more than 130,000 customers in Arkansas and 300,000 in Georgia.

Customers should prepare for restoration to take multiple days.
