Memphis Light Gas and Water will close the intersection of Highland Street and Walnut Grove Road tonight May 7, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Tuesday morning. 

The closure is necessary to install a new gas main. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. 

MLGW is the largest three-service public power utility in the nation, serving more than 421,000 customers in Memphis and Shelby County.
