    JOB TITLE: Computer Software Specialist (Level III)

    Duties:
    Analyze information system requirements to determine software that will provide system capabilities required; develop and/or maintain new systems to meet information requirements.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Systems OR Business with a concentration in Information Technology. (All degree requirements must include a minimum of 12 hours college accredited programming/computer-related courses.) Must have at least 6 years of experience and meet proficiency requirements. Must have knowledge and skills in one (1) or more fields listed below. Experience and knowledge requirements will vary according to area and departmental needs. Systems Programming: TCP/IP and LINUX. Desktop Support: Windows 2000 and/or XP. Database: Oracle or SQL. Web Development: HTML, JAVA or PHP. Applications Programming: C++. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

    Works inside under good conditions. Subject to sitting for long periods of time at computer terminals, eye fatigue, grasping/reaching for technical manuals/ printouts and distinguishing color, and occasional light lifting, bending, stooping/ crouching to load computer equipment, paper and carry materials.

    Duties:
    Apply entry level business knowledge and techniques to assist in writing and editing of publications, news releases, public service announcements and internal/external information programs as directed; plan and/or direct special projects; and provide assistance to requesting parties.

    Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations or related area. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

    JOB TITLE: Coordinator, Building/Facilities (Level I)

    Duties:
    Coordinate and schedule work assignments through Division areas or contractors for utility/building facilities construction and maintenance projects; apply construction techniques/principles in the planning/design of Division facilities; develop/review furniture design drawings; order/purchase/deliver/store and dispose of furniture; maintain inventory of furniture available for installation; and coordinate departmental work with other areas/departments internally/externally. Perform mechanical maintenance/repair work on Division vehicles and heavy equipment in shop and/or field.

    Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical/Civil Engineering Technology or Building Construction Technology or related technical degree OR a minimum of 4 years experience in building facilities design. Must be familiar with the computerized Work Management System and design software. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

    Works inside majority of time. Subject to utility and building construction hazards which include occasionally walking/standing, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching and medium lifting/carrying computer paper and building materials.

    JOB TITLE: MECHANIC

    Duties: Perform mechanical maintenance/repair work on Division vehicles and heavy equipment in shop and/or field.

    Associate degree in Automotive Technology; OR successfully completed Mechanic Apprenticeship program; OR have four (4) current ASE/FPS certifications; OR four (4) years experience in the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of automotive vehicles, or medium duty trucks or heavy equipment. ASE certifications A1-Engine Repair, or T1-Gasoline Engines, or T2-Diesel Engines and A6-Electrical/Electronics Systems or T6-Electrical/Electronic Systems are required, and based on departmental needs the two (2) remaining certifications will be determined from an approved ASE/FPS list. The approved ASE/FPS list includes: A1-A8; T1-T6, T8; F1; L1; and/or FPS certifications which include Mobile Hydraulic Mechanic, Hydraulic Technician and/or Application/Electronics Specialist. Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification. Must successfully complete Placement (Group 03C “Mechanics”)/Performance Exercises. Must pass Color Blind Test I. Must be able to differentiate sounds when making adjustments.

    Works inside and outside. Subject to hazards of operating machinery and irritation from oils, solvents, chemicals and fumes. Make service calls in the field. Performs heavy lifting. Subject to climbing, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in uncomfortable positions.

    JOB TITLE: Gas Welder-Installer, Meters

    Duties:
    Weld, test, repair, fit pipe and relight appliances in the installation and maintenance of commercial and industrial gas metering facilities. Must have knowledge/skills in welding, burning and cutting. Must have oxyacetylene welder qualifications under the Department of Transportation Appendix C. Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license from state of residence. Must successfully complete Placement (Group 10B “Instrument Mechanics II”)/Performance Exercises and Physical Abilities Test (CGS III). Must successfully complete Color Blind Test I.     Duties:
    Apply principles/concepts to most complex/diversified engineering, business and technical system design projects; develop/revise procedures/trial runs for solving problems; recommend equipment changes; provide guidance/instructions to various programming personnel; and is highly accountable for end results.

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Systems OR Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited programming in computer-related courses. Must meet proficiency requirements. Must have at least six (6) years of equivalent experience. Must be highly proficient in structure system/design/system development life cycle and project management techniques. Systems Programming: MQ-Series, VTAM, TCP/IP, SMP/E, TLMS, JCL TOP Secret, Unix, Z/OS LINUX. Desktop Support: Visio, MS Project. Applications Programming: COBOL for MVS/LE, JCL. Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

    Works inside under good conditions. Subject to occasional reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, grasping, carrying and light lifting of computer equipment/supplies, books and manuals, sitting for long periods of time, eye fatigue and frequent walking to user areas. Must be subject to 24-hour call depending on assigned area.
