A team of more than 100 MLGW volunteers will caulk and weather strip windows and doors on Oct. 4 at the homes of customers who often can’t afford such repairs. On Thursday, Oct. 4, MLGW will work with 20 pre-selected homes in the Riverview/Kansas area for minor, energysaving home repairs. MLGW volunteers will also go door-to-door delivering energy kits to customers.

The effort is a part of recognizing Customer Service Week, Oct. 1-5. In addition to a community service day, MLGW will give away free gift bags to residential and commercial customers on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 2-3, at all five MLGW community offices while supplies last. Both efforts are a way of showing appreciation to customers. Businesses throughout the country celebrate the first week of every October as Customer Service Week.
